Alabama gives the public access to many court records, but the route depends on the record. Escambia County Circuit and District Court records are handled through Circuit Clerk John R. Fountain's office and statewide Alacourt systems. Probate records, marriage certificates, recorded instruments, and estate files route through Probate Judge Robert D. Agerton's office. Sheriff custody records come from the Escambia County Sheriff's Office, and city traffic or ordinance matters may stay with Brewton, Atmore, East Brewton, or Flomaton Municipal Court.
